Sometimes it is enough simply to roll the powerfully evocative and tantalising names of certain appellations around one’s mouth, for the palate to respond with a shiver.
What pleasure in itself to greedily recite names redolent of promises of flavour and freshness, of generosity and fullness.

Bergerac Red and Rosé
The grape varieties which define the Bergerac Red and Rosé AOC are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot Noir, Côt or Malbec. Elegant, supple and fruity they represent the ‘terroir’ or regional soil and climatic factors.

Bergerac White
Bergerac White is made from an assemblage of Sémillon, Sauvignon, Muscadelle, Ondec and Chenin Blanc grape varieties. The wine is crisp, aromatic and full of vitality, its colour pale and the finish lingers pleasingly.

COTES DE BERGERAC Our wine growers

Côtes de Bergerac Red
Côtes de Bergerac Reds are given their dark, sombre hue by the grape varieties used : Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot Noir, Côt or Malbec. They are well-structured wines with aromas of preserved fruit such as prunes. Their strong, structured tannins give them great potential to age.

Côtes de Bergerac White
The Sémillon grape variety in particular is responsible for this golden-hued wine which combines aromatic crispness with a generous roundness. It can be drunk young but with age takes on a remarkable fullness. Côtes de Bergerac White is divided into three categories depending on the sugar level : Medium Dry, Medium Sweet and Sweet.
