St Alvère in the Périgord :
the first truffle market
in France to have gone
on-line !
Version Française

Domaine du Siorac is situated 20km south of Bergerac in the ‘Périgord Pourpre’ in the middle of a triangle formed by Sigoulès, Issigeac and the bastide of Eymet.
The property has been in the Landat family since 1818 and today comprises 55ha principally planted with vines (26ha).
The wine and ‘verjus’ are vinified at the property’s modern winery and bottled, packaged and sold by the Domaine du Siorac.

Specialising in direct sales to individual shops and restaurants, the Domaine du Siorac delivers itself or organises the carriage over the whole of France.

‘Verjus’
Verjus is made of the juice of unripe grapes and has been used in traditional French cuisine since the Middle Ages particularly for deglazing and marinating. Its fruity acidity lends character to salads, mushrooms, oysters, fish, poultry and roasts.

Wine
The characterful wines of Domaine du Siorac are made from grapes planted on the chalky-clay hillsides between the Dropt and Dordogne rivers. The Bergerac Red and Côtes de Bergerac Red are typical of the region and deserve to be laid down for a few years.
The Bergerac Dry White and Rosé are easy-to-drink wines.
The Côtes de Bergerac Sweet White goes beautifully with foie gras or dessert.
