St Alvère in the Périgord :
the first truffle market
in France to have gone
on-line !
Version Française

Twenty kilometres from Bergerac, bordering the Lot et Garonne ‘département’ is a small farm which cultivates vines and cereals and has a small herd of cows. It is a characterful, family holding which was passed down to us by our parents. Pascal first set up a GAEC (administrative title for family-run farms) with his mother, Hugette. In April it was Sylvie’s turn to take her mother’s place and form a brother-sister partnership with Pascal. Our father, Jean, has always taken care of the vinification himself and sold in bulk to a wine merchant. The focus has changed slightly and the aim is now to sell our wine directly.

The vineyard is situated on 10 hillside hectares known as PECH BESSOU and is currently only planted with 3 ha of vines, we plan, however to replant the totality over the next few years. The aim is not to become a large property but rather to retain its familial character and do everything necessary for the production of high-quality wine.
