The Ethics
of the Vineyard
Out of concern for the environment and the quality of our
wines, we use “reasoned protection” in our vineyard. We use
natural means to protect the vineyard from pests and diseases.
This consists in decreasing the use of phytosanitary products
according to risks, by observation and modelling, by analysis
of parasitic biology. Reasoned production is subject to the
charter of the Dordogne Chamber of Agriculture.

Controlling the
yield per hectare, respecting the environment, harvesting grapes
at their optimal maturity, using exacting blends and aging, each
step is the fruit of every moment’s work.
Our generous wines of character are born from this passion.
The Work in the Vineyard
The vines are trained to maintain the framework and the fruiting
wood, and to space out the foliage and grape clusters.
The soil is worked every other row as needed, using a circular
spike harrow, a disc harrow and teeth.
The vineyard is managed using the “reasoned struggle” technique,
which lets us reduce the use of phytosanitary products:
- Mechanical de-suckering
- Weeding only underfoot
- Thinning
- Removing excess foliage to prevent botrytis
Wine making is carried out in a modern wine warehouse
- Stainless steel fermentation vats: 304 for red wines and 316
for white
- Isothermal vat for malo-lactic fermentation and aging
- Pneumatic wine press
- Hot-cold apparatus that regulates the temperature for all the
