Version Française

Château Le Payral is a small family-run vineyard which covers 15 hillside hectares in the Bergerac and Saussignac Appellations d’Origine Contrôlée, on the very edges of the Dordogne, a stone’s throw from the Gironde. Thierry and Isabelle Daulhiac, along with Paul and Emilien, their ‘bambinos’ are the current owners.
In 1992 Thierry inherited the vineyard from his father who had, in turn, inherited it from his father.

Since then, these young wine-producers have, thanks to their hard work and dedication, won prizes at the Paris and London International Wine Fairs, and had the pleasure of seeing their wines cited in such guides and specialist magazines as ‘The Hachette Wine Guide’, ‘Vins de France’, ‘Cuisine et Vin de France’ etc.
Their wines are mainly exported to England, Belgium and the Low Countries although they are available in France in independant wine cellars, shops and restaurants. The Daulhiacs are, however, particularly proud of the fact that their wines have been chosen to grace the tables of a number of top chefs.
