Château La
Maroutie, located on the heights of Monbazillac, reveals an
exceptional panorama over the plain of Bergerac, and gives the
impression that the land is part of the sky. Since 1991, in this
environment, this estate seeks to offer a wine that respects the land
and the expectations of new consumers in terms of taste and
innovation.
Château La Maroutie benefits from rare luck — its land, composed of
both clay and limestone, makes the wine exceptionally creamy and
delicate. Clay soils favour Monbazillac’s smoothness and
limestone accentuates its fineness.
Our appellation wines are as comfortable at a picnic, as an aperitif,
as with the family dinner. Their conviviality and simplicity make
these wine your accomplices, they back you up and never disappoint you.
As Monbazillac independent winemakers, the owners focus on the wine’s
pleasure and simplicity. The Château’s philosophy is to provide a
fresh perspective on the world of wine, thus perpetuating the original
desire of the owners, rugby players and avid lovers of the region,
that of sharing a revived tradition. |
