“IN THREE BARS, AZURE WITH THREE GOLD STARS IN A NEAT LINE, SILVER WITH A CROSS WITH ARMS THAT ARE NARROW AT THE INNER, AND VERY BROAD AT THE OTHER END OF GULES AND OF GULES WITH A SILVER SHELL”

The town of Saint-Nexans is part of the Bergerac district (Bergerac II canton), and of the Community of the Bergerac urban area. It is 9 km southeast of Bergerac. It’s surface area is 1238 hectares, 146 of which are woods and forest, and 631 of which are used for agriculture. The population is of 959 inhabitants (official population on January 1, 2017).

Saint-Nexans, happiness in the vineyard. At the gates of Bergerac, Saint-Nexans shows a natural, serene quality of life. Behind the rows of vines, the Perigord-style buildings with imposing roofs and great harmony, dozes a town that the local life, the associations, the municipality, the wine producers are ready to awaken, to give it a sense, to support and defend its existence next to the Greater Bergerac area.
It is bordered by:
The towns of Bergerac and Cours de Pile to the north
The town of Conne de Labarde to the south
The towns of St Germain and Mons and St Aubin de Lanquais to the east
The town of Colombier to the west

The departmental road RD 19 (from Ribérac to Beaumont) crosses Saint-Nexans northwest — southeast. The departmental road RD 14E2 (Ste Foy la Grande to Villeréal) crosses it east — west.

It is crossed by “La Conne”, a modest stream, tributary of the Dordogne, which runs from north to south. Another stream, “Le Caverieu”, passes south of St Nexans and joins “La Conne” 850 meters downstream from the St Nexans Mill.
