St Alvère in the Périgord :
the first truffle market
in France to have gone
on-line !

-Church
This Romanesque church is registered with the inventory of historic buildings.
It has a Romanesque portal.
The single nave is covered with a gable roof in small tiles. Its wall-belfry is built on a triumphal chorus arch whose horizontal peak has two slightly curved pitches, supported by two raised buttresses. It is pierced with two semi-circular twin bays.
A high semicircular chevet, in the shape of a tower, is built against the bell-tower.
Constructed from lovely yellow limestone, it opens by a very narrow axial bay, almost an embrasure, and by two side curved bays.
