Reception and Accommodation
For several years, Sigoulès has been making a list of the
numerous requests for housing. Our wine region is very popular
and welcomes new residents from all parts of France each year.
People from Bergerac also are increasingly willing to move to
the countryside, a few miles from their work.
The municipality has made a concerted effort to improve the
housing situation in the village itself with several development
programmes of commune-owned buildings and by working in
partnership with the Bergerac Council Housing Programme.
The creation of a public housing development of 20 homes and a
municipal subdivision, "fon de la May", with 13 houses, has
allowed many families to move in.
Building lots are in high demand in the town, and the number of
building permits has increased steadily. |
