Heritage :
The village of Pontours on the Dordogne River boasts a 12th-century church and a covered market hall where every Sunday a farm produce market is held.
Along the roads and paths are many attractive fountains and sources.


2007 Festivities
- Saturday August 4: village festival, followed by a meal and dancing at 7:30 p.m.
- Friday August 17: starting at 9 p.m. starry night
- Saturday October 16: at 8:30 p.m. the festival committee’s autumn quine (quine is a game of chance also known as lotto, riffle or bingo)

 
Market Hall
 

Every Sunday morning under the attractive covered market hall a farm produce market is held.

Hiking Trails
From the information board in Pontours follow the D29 towards Badefols sur Dordogne for 500m and take the first on the right towards ‘Couleyrie’ and ‘Pontours Haut’ to join the beginning of the trail in the hamlet of Pontours Haut.
Length : 15km
Time : 5 hours on foot, 2h30 on horseback and 2h15 by mountain-bike.
