CORENSO France - SOUSTRE FACTORY
A wrapping paper factory on the edge of the river Isle to the
North-west of the commune which employs a hundred or so
people. The factory was built on the site of a dam lock
constructed in 1776 to make the river navigable. A mill was
built in 1852 by M. Jaubert and was later turned into a
paper-mill.
RETIREMENT HOME
A private, 45-bed retirement home.
Sport
Altogether membership of sports clubs totals at least 160
people. The facilities are of a high standard, particularly
the basketball and tennis courts (interior) which were
renovated in 1998. Basketball and tennis lessons cater for
even the youngest children. The walkers and hikers section was
created in 1999 and meets regularly to walk the commune’s
paths and trails.
