In the past,
Couze Saint Front was an important paper city, and it is said
that the first paper mills, the oldest in Perigord and in
France, were built on the Couze river. From that time, there
remains only:
- the Barreaux Mill, with several dozen employees, producing
mainly filters
- the
Larroque Mill
- the
Mill of the Rouzique,
which is now a museum
