St Alvère in the Périgord :
the first truffle market
in France to have gone
on-line !
Version Française

The town of Cause de Clerans is located in the Lalinde district in Dordogne.
It is a member of the Community of Communes Entre Dordogne et Louyre and of the Greater Bergerac Area Community of Communes.
It has 320 inhabitants on a surface area of 1435 hectares.

Its name of the town in Occitan is Cause de Clarenç. Perhaps it is a variation of the Occitan “causse” (limestone soil), Latin calcis – probably Clarentius, a Gallo-Roman person’s name.
