Numerous
events during the holiday season
Wednesday jazz evenings, Thursday classical music evenings, open
air cinema, open air theatre, folklore with the Abeilles
Bergeracoises, as well as sporting events such as the 14th July
Regatta and the Triathlon…
Summer Retrospective: A painting or sculpture exhibition of a
famous contemporary artist: July & August, St Jacques Presbytery
Cyrano’s
Table :
In mid-July Bergerac becomes, for the space of a weekend, the
departmental capital of Périgourdin gastronomy and wine. The
streets of Bergerac are taken over by restaurants, caterers,
‘ferme auberges’ and wine-producers offering their wares to
passers by.
In the evening live music accompanies diners as free concerts
are organised near the tables.
Roxanne’s Table :
Every other year, in mid-August, it is Roxanne’s turn to set the
table in the Place de la République in Bergerac. Five
consecutive days of free concerts and gastronomic evenings
unfold in a festive atmosphere.
The Bergerac
Fair-Exhibition,
organised every other year (even years) at the end of the
holiday period, provides an opportunity to find out about the
economic life of the town as well as its clubs, associations and
activities. The fair is based at Piquecailloux, lasts for a week
and has over 300 stands. Each day is rounded off with a concert.
Local Heritage Day: 3rd
Friday of September :
National Heritage Days are designed to emphasise the immense
diversity and wealth of our local heritage and to remind the
public of the essential role played by associations and various
groups in preserving and valuing many of the sites. The third
weekend of September is dominated by talks and visits (both
guided and non-guided).
Also worth finding out about events on offer at:
- the Centre Culturel,
