The chateau has
been state-owned since 1998. High on its
rocky promontory it overlooks the confluence
of the Dordogne and Vézère Rivers as well as
the village.
Established in
1891 and scarcely altered since, the one and
half hectare garden which surrounds the
chateau contains sixty varieties of trees.
There is an unusually proportioned well in
the grounds and an old windmill converted
into a dovecote. |
