Michèle Jarry des Loges, Artist-designer of Jewellery Art,
Murals and Mirrors

Background
I was introduced to painting and visual arts as an autodidact. I quickly found my way in the creation of art jewellery and sculptures, and I got caught up in the adventure. Confidence in myself and conviction gave me the energy to work for several years with renowned high-fashion designers worldwide, such as Christian Lacroix, Louis Feraud, Nina Ricci and Stephane Saunier. The taste for colours, materials and mixtures were complementary, and motivated us to make creations very rich in expression. The time came to leave Paris, to face a new future. Now I have been in the Perigord, meeting place of inspiration and creation, for nine years. I look at the universe and the beyond speaks to me.

Activity and philosophy
In my creations, I combine different materials, such as stones of all kinds (malachite, agate, onyx, jet, lapis lazuli, turquoise, coral, garnet, carnelian, peridot, jade, mother-of-pearl ...), glass paste, antiques, gold leaves, glass, meteorites, snake skin, dinosaur bones ... The sources of my inspiration are many and constantly changing. The only constant: nature, which gives me most of the components of a jewel or a sculpture, and influences my view of things. I tell stories in my creations. I mix time and cultures, looking for global harmony. I am part of the microcosm of the human tribe. I capture the energy of the cosmos, I transmute it by creating. It flows like a river.
The beyond is a part of the reflection of my soul.
