From 1984 to 1989 I pursued fine art studies in Toulouse and
Lyons, with in 1988, a year studying in Tenerife thanks to an
ERASMUS grant. Further to my studies, I obtained a DNAP
(degree in visual arts). Then followed marriage and three
lovely sons… and a whole lot less time for art!
Having worked variously as the director of a leisure centre
and as an art teacher as well as having collaborated on
projects with another artist, I am now back to painting full
Exhibitions in the Midi Pyrenees, Tenerife, Aubusson in the
Creuse and in the Aquitaine.
Activities Creation: Expressionist approach to mankind and matter:
sketches, modelling, paints made with earth pigments.
Lessons / Courses /Workshops
My workshop is open to anyone who wishes to express themself
through an artistic medium. The consequent enrichment is
mutual and human contact improves my own work.
Ceramics: I create tableware: mealtimes are a moment of
conviviality, of sharing, of communion between people and they
merit the use of objects handmade by man for man!
"One day we start painting and, from then on, we are no longer
in control of anything…" to quote Monique Frydman. The
artist's hand makes space tremble, battles with the elements:
matter, colour and graphics. Add a binding substance to earth
to create or more or less liquid paste which takes shape under
one's fingers - it curls up on itself, creates dips and
shallows, spreads out, dissolves. Thus begins the creative
experience of a fusing of elements.
Man uses his experience to create and express his vision of
life. Works of art are a type of communication between the
creator and the onlooker.
