St Alvère in the Périgord :
the first truffle market
in France to have gone
on-line !
Version Française

Breuilh Farm is situated in the village of Maurens, near Villamblard between Bergerac and Périgueux in the « Périgord Pourpre ». The Dordogne in the South-west of France produces some of France’s finest food and is internationally renowned for its gastronomy.
The Aubertie family have been farming the same land since 1680; they began breeding birds for fattening in 1970.

Today, the farm’s main activity is the breeding, cramming, processing and direct sale of goose and duck produce.
This is a year-round activity and the 12 ha farm is divided into :
• grassy enclosures
• maize
• wheat

The geese are raised on the farm from one day old.
The ducks are raised in the Périgord by a farmer who adheres to the IGP charter (Protected Geographical Identity).
