History and Situation

Saint Germain et Mons 1 475 ha 753
Saint Sauveur 934 ha 796

(Official population on January 1, 2012: 6496)

It is an Intercommunal Co-operation Public Establishment (ECPI), bringing together several communes as one, without boundaries. Its goal is to combine communes in a spirit of solidarity with the idea of working out common development projects and improving sites.

Its name comes from the three valleys that cross it:

-the Dordogne valley
-the Louyre valley
-the Caudeau valley

Located in the south of the Dordogne department, east of Bergerac, it has a favoured geographic position. National highway 21 bypasses Bergerac on its territory, which thus becomes the departure point for the touristic route that leads to the Périgord Noir.
