Fiscal Resources

Additional taxation lets the Community of Communes levy a fiscal resource from the four local taxes: business tax (as compensation relay), property tax, land tax on developed land, and land tax on undeveloped land. Each year, the Community Council fixes the rate for these four taxes.

Household Garbage Removal Tax (Taxe d’Enlèvement des Ordures Ménagères (TEOM)) is the Community of Communes’ second fiscal source. This revenue is used exclusively to finance the collection and treatment of household garbage. The Community Council also fixes the TEOM rates, which are applied to the tax on undeveloped land.
