Required Activities

- Space planning:

• Creation of urban development zones.
• Establishment of Grouped Operations for Land Improvement

-Economic development: the community offers to:

• Help with creating zones of economic activity (ZAE), relay workshops.
• Facilitate assistance to investors, within the regulatory framework.
• Assist in implementing Crafts and Trade Restructuring Operations (ORAC).
• Help with local interest and advertising signs.
• Assist in the implementation of crafts and agricultural development.



Optional Activities

- Highways

Creation, development and maintenance of municipal roads and signage according to the rules of procedure, including structures, but excluding parking lots, housing development roads and utilities, cemeteries, improvements in town (place), interventions due to exceptional damage caused by natural disasters (storms, snow, sleet, flood, landslide, ...), cleaning operations and public lighting.


- Social Action

The community’s objective is to manage the Monpazier Intercommunal Centre for Social Action.
It conducts general preventive action and social development in the district, in close contact with public and private institutions.
Its mission is the scope of activities defined in the Code of Social Action and Families Article L123-5.
It coordinates and leads all the social assistance work and, in general, all projects deemed necessary for social assistance in the district, including the services described below:
- Instruction for social welfare aid
- Home help “provider”
- Domestic jobs “representative”
- Small maintenance jobs
- Meals on Wheels
- Instruction and allocation of optional benefits in the form of services
refundable or non-refundable.

Additional Optional Activities

- Environment

• Creating, improving, and maintaining paths within the framework of the Departmental Walking and Hiking Itineraries Plan.
A guide to 11 hiking loops is available at the Monpazier Tourist Office at a cost of 2.5 €
• Facilitating studies and possibly obtaining grants for the disposal of agricultural plastics within the regulatory framework.
• Removal and recovery of household waste: collection and treatment.
• Control of non-collective sanitation.


- Accommodation

• Implementation of planned habitat improvement (OPAH) or an equivalent procedure.
• Creation of, or help in the creation of, accommodation programs for the elderly or for people of modest means.


 

     
 


Multi-media library

 

Sports and Cultural Facilities
• Creation and maintenance of sports facilities of Community interest: rugby stadium, football stadium, tennis courts, district sports room
• Creation, maintenance and management of a Recreation Centre without accommodations.
Dissemination and promotion of culture in all its forms (literary, artistic, scientific, technological, etc.) by managing a multi-media library.

     
 

- Tourism
• Contribute to promoting tourist accommodations in the context of actions by the Bastide Country Tourist Development Agency, which is the centre of rural tourism in the district. More generally, after approval, to participate in these actions within the framework of its scope of activities
• Contribute to running this tourist office and to its scope of activities, notably thanks to receipts from the tourist tax. Taking into account the agreement with Monpazier’s Tourist Office and after deliberation if need be, beyond the amount of the subsidy foreseen in the agreement.
• Contribute to creating tourist accommodations, by obtaining grants for this purpose sought from financial partners such as the State, the Region, the Department, the European Union, or by virtue of making it easier for investors to obtain subsidies.

     
 


Construction of the Lolme Continued Care and Rehabilitation Home

 

- Other Interventions
The community of communes, within the framework of its economic and social welfare scope of activities, has authority to create Continued Care and Rehabilitation care homes on its territory.
