In January 1, 2013, the Bergerac Pourpre Community of Communes was dissolved and its members are now part of the Communauté d'Agglomération Bergeracoise.

 

The Bergerac Pourpre Community of Communes is a public entity for co-operation among municipalities, located in the Dordogne. It brings together the towns of Bergerac, Bouniagues, Colombier, Gardonne, Ginestet, Lamonzie-Saint-Martin, Lembras, Monbazillac, Queyssac, Saint-Laurent-des-Vignes and Saint-Nexans.

The Community of Communes has a surface area of 17669 hectares, and 36964 inhabitants*.

It belongs to the Greater Bergerac Area.
