« Orchestra for Peace », symbol of a peaceful co-existence, displays the fundamental rights of man where each has a place and each respects the place of the other. Composed of forty Arab and Israeli musicians it presents itself as a means of co operating in the Middle East peace process, specifically between Israel and Palestine.
« Orchestra for Peace » is a symbol of inextinguishable hope, a belief that, in the face of the absurdity of violence and the resulting extreme suffering, reconciliation is possible.
Music overcomes distances and can re-establish human relationships gravely damaged by a long record of suffering, misery and violence.
Peace is not a utopia : it depends on each and everyone of us. It is a difficult but necessary struggle and we should furnish ourselves with the means to succeed.

We are looking for a residence for 3 weeks in 2004 for « Orchestra for Peace » who need a place to live and rehearse (45 people : 40 orchestral musicians, 3 soloists, 2 conductors).
