The traditional farm buildings have been renovated to welcome
visitors while the modern sheepfold (built from wood) was
designed for humane sheep-rearing and to facilitate visits.
The Educational Farm belongs to the network, « Welcome to the
Farm » and has the certificate of approval (from a board
composed of the Agricultural Chamber, the General Council, the
DDJS, the DIREN, the State Education System, Périgueux
Agricultural Secondary School and the Dordogne agricultural
social contributions body, the MSA) to welcome groups of
children to the farm.
Sylvie will
help you discover : • Sheep breeding : a
sheep’s life cycle, reproduction, food, lambs etc.
• The countryside and its specific flora and fauna : the
limestone plateau, ponds, pubescent truffle oaks, mature oak and
hornbeam woodland.
• The history of agricultural life in the Beaumont area and the
life of a traditional 18th century farm.
• ‘Reading’ the landscape on two sites on the farm.
• Paths animated ballads : tales, stories, plays (drives out
with the treasures, play of track)...

Schools, holiday centres welcome for a day-long visit. Capacity
of 50 persons (max).
