The bastide of Lalinde and the surrounding countryside are situated at the crossroads of the four areas of the Périgord (Noir, Pourpre, Vert and Blanc). The area is known for its tourism and gastronomy. It is ideally situated by the banks of the Dordogne River, near the canal and the main thoroughfare through the Dordogne valley, half-way between Bergerac and Sarlat and 45 minutes from Périgueux.
