With 150 members, 900
hectares of vines in production, the vineyards of the Sigoulès Wine
Cellar are located on the hillsides south of Bergerac, between the
Dordogne Valley and that of the Dropt.
The vines are planted on two dominant terrains: clay-limestone,
favourable for red wines, and silty soils, favourable for the
production of dry white and dessert wines.
More than fifteen years ago, the Sigoulès Wine Cellar chose an
ambitious policy based on quality specifications, strict control of
land plots throughout the year and mastery of the volumes produced.
The winemakers participate directly in drawing up specifications and
in classifying land plots, accompanied by the wine cellar’s technical
team.
This teamwork makes it possible to present a varying range of products
with the Bergerac Appellation: red, dry, rosé and dessert to meet
different customer needs. |
