Bergerac-Le
Fleix Wine Co-operative, one
of the most respected in the area, has built its reputation on the
quality of its wines and wine-making methods.
The co-operative has two sites :
Bergerac Co-operative
situated in the town of Bergerac itself in the Pécharmant
appellation, and
Le Fleix Co-operative
which is on the border between the Dordogne and the Gironde, i.e.
between the Bergerac and Bordeaux appellations.
Bergerac-Le Fleix Wine
Co-operative counts 209
wine-growing members who deliver their grapes to the co-operative
which in turn makes and sells the wine. Money made from the sales is
shared between the wine-growers. |
