Botrytized grapes and
overripe Muscadelle grapes

Château Le
Payral produces
Bergerac Dry White, Bergerac Red and the relatively little
known rich, sweet,
‘liquoreux’ Saussignac.
The Bergerac Dry White
Traditional is very
flavourful and extremely round in the mouth due in part to the
blend of the three local white grape varieties, Sauvignon,
Sémillon and Muscadelle, and also to our particular methods of
vinification (skin contact, lees contact).
The oak-aged Bergerac
Dry White Reserve is a
fuller wine which can be kept for approximately five years and
accompanies stews and sauces perfectly.

Three
different red wines
are produced from the Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet
Franc grape varieties : the Bergerac Red Traditional, the
oak-aged Bergerac Red Reserve and the Bergerac Red Cuvée which
is a fine, oak-aged wine, only produced during exceptional
vintages.
