The commune has an extensive network of public services
including a town hall (open from Monday to Friday), a
technical services department, school employees and a school
canteen.
• The Lyonnaise Water Board is responsible for all public
sanitation in the village and outskirts.
• The school (with 3 classes) has a large computer room and
its own email address (stmeardgur24.ecole@wanadoo.fr)
and forms part of a grouped schools structure with the commune
of Fougueyrolles. The schools provide for children from
infants to the end of primary school.
• An out-of school hours nursery accepts children before and
after school on school days (from 7h - 8h45 & 16h30 - 18h45).
The children are given a morning and afternoon snack for the
token sum of 3.50€ per week. The nursery is greatly appreciated
by parents whose work schedules do not always fit in with the
school timetable.
• A Post Office, open every day from Monday to Saturday
morning.
• A Customs & Excise office.
• An emergency centre made up of a volunteer fire brigade.
