Liorac sur Louyre is a characterful village with several châteaux (including two on the Supplementary Inventory of Historical Monuments) and private manor houses.
The fortified bell-tower and adjoining parts of the 12th-century church are listed as Historical Monuments.
The nearby forest of Liorac is a former nature reserve with a wealth of flora and fauna and some unusual geological formations (notably blocks of sandstone).

The commune has a surface area of 2025 ha and counts 227 inhabitants
(official population on January 1, 2012). It is situated in the canton of Lalinde and is reached by the D32.
