St Alvère in the Périgord :
the first truffle market
in France to have gone
on-line !

Version Française

Situated in the picturesque village of La Crempse, the village of Issac boasts a number of mills, smithies and manor houses dating from the 17th and 18th centuries.
Little is known about the history of the village but the number and age of some of its buildings suggest that it was once a village of some importance.

Etymology :
Iccianum : the estate of Iccius
Later : Eyssat

Issac is in the canton of Villamblard on the departmental road 38 and counts a population of 391.
