Fonroque, a village with a surface area of 900 hectares, is an unfinished bastide founded in 1284 by Edward I of England. As a wine-producing area it is planted with approximately 70 hectares of AOC Bergerac vines.

 

     
   

Fonroque, situated in the canton of Eymet, 20km south of Bergerac and 5km from Eymet, has a population of 243. The village is crossed by the Limoges - Mont de Marsan road, the CD933.
