St Alvère in the Périgord :
the first truffle market
in France to have gone
on-line !

Version Française

High above the Couze River* the commune of Bouillac nestles in the midst of the Bessède Forest. The commune includes the village of Bouillac itself and 10 outlying hamlets and counts a population of 125.
*The Couze which joins the Dordogne at Port de Couze, runs underground through much of the commune, reappearing, however, from time to time - which explains the presence of several pretty, stone bridges.

Even if all roads lead to Bouillac, the most important is undoubtedly the D26 which itself originates in the D53 linking Monpazier and Belvès.
