Origins
The chateau and grounds are situated in the
middle of a working vineyard, they have
undergone many alterations over the
centuries and of the original building only
the moat survives. In the eighteenth century
Monsieur Augeard, President of the Bordeaux
Parlement, built the outbuildings and
terrace, the wings were only added much
later.
What to See
Pleasant walks can be taken in the formal
gardens where the Classical summer-house is
a must. The winery is seventeenth-century
and magnificent; a guided visit of the
barrel hall and an opportunity to taste the
wine are also proposed.
An equine club is based on the premises. |
