Who are we ?

St Alvère in the Périgord :
the first truffle market
in France to have gone
on-line !

Community Council :
The Community Council is composed of 26 delegates. Each commune has two delegates, except Saint Capraise de Lalinde, Mauzac et Grand Castang, which have three delegates (as these communes have more than 500 inhabitants).

Board :

The Board is made up of the President and six vice-presidents.

Committees :

Recently engaged in an approach for the area’s future, the Community of Communes set up new work committees in order to define its Area Project and future development projects:
-“Economy-Employment” Committee
-“Housing” Committee
-“Environment – Surroundings” Committee
-“Culture – Communication – TIC (Information and Communication Technologies)” Committee
-“Atlantic Dordogne River Contract” Committee
-“Finances - Government Contracts” Committee

The community councillors appointed by the municipal councils have an important role.
They take part in decisions made by the Community of Communes, because they are the Community of Communes’ “Municipal Council”. Thus they determine actions that will be conducted at the Community level, vote the budget, and fix the tax rate that will be applied to the taxpayers living in the jurisdiction.

Below is a list of community delegates.
