Overlook invests in all sorts of
‘current’ music in Aquitaine : rock, heavy metal, reggae, blues,
ska, French songs, alternative music, techno...and, surrounding
performances, encourages the arts, street theatre, juggling,
exhibitions, percussion, stands... There are
two Overlook Festivals
every year, one in the spring and one in November.
Le tremplin national
(The National Springboard) is open from 1st May to 31st August.
Five groups are selected and subsequently play at the November
festival. The winner is given national promotion by Overlook.
Overlook National Discoveries
Le Tremplin Overlook (The Overlook Springboard) has disappeared in
favour of an evening called “Overlook National Discoveries”. Three
amateur and/or semi-professional groups will be selected among the
candidates for Rocksane’s programming. The idea is for Rocksane’s
public to discover something new, groups that we like and whose
CDs we played often throughout the summer. The three groups will
perform together at Rocksane the last weekend in December. To
encourage our public to come see the "discovery", the entry fee
will be very low. Moreover, the Overlook Association and its
partners ADAM 24 and SACEM have decided together that a
departmental group will also be chosen by a jury of professionals.
We thus call all departmental groups, who so wish, to submit their
candidacy to “Overlook National Discoveries”, Rocksane 14 bis rue
Pozzi 24100 BERGERAC.
