  A Brief History

1915
Founding of « The Children of France of Bergerac » by Father Tournbise

1917
Official opening of the first sections : gymnastics, music, theatre, football and rugby (the latter came to a close in 1920).

1930/33
Campréal Stadium bought and built.

1935
EFB’s headquarters, previously based at 11 Boulevard Montaigne, transferred to the Lapanouse Hall, Rue St Esprit.

1947
Construction of the Lapanouse Gym.
 
1959
Organisation of the Federal Gymnastics Competition for Women, the Regional Competition for men and a Music Competition (500 participants).

1967
Opening of holiday and ski centre at Saint Béat.

1975
Construction of the ‘Joseph Monseau’ hall at Campréal.

1977

Work begun on the EFB house.

15 June 1985
Inauguration of the Children of France, Bergerac house, 14 Rue Eugène Fromentin.
