The Dordogne River at Le Fleix

 

The 3-ha lake, full of carp and pike, is a delight for anglers and also provides an ideal environment for children to try their hand at fishing.
The Dordogne and Isle, both category-two rivers, run nearby and are full of white fish (roach, bream, bleak etc.) carnivorous species (zander, pike, perch) and migratory fish such as shad.
The Dordogne, the third largest département of France, has a diverse hydrography and as such is wonderful for the holiday fisherman or the dedicated angler who can practise a wide variety of fishing techniques in the area.
