Located in the canton of Vélines, extending on a wine-producing plateau between the Estrop and Lidoire valleys, Saint Vivien is a small rural town of 853 hectares, which has 282 inhabitants.
The name of Saint Vivien comes from the name of a bishop of Saintes (+460), “Sancti Bibiani”.
The village’s economy is based mainly on agriculture, and more particularly, on wine growing. It produces wines with the appellation (AOC) Montravel and Bergerac.
The presence of several businesses and a rural complex are also witness to a certain dynamism.
